There is good news for mothers and their children in Lafayette County who may need assistance providing healthy food and a balanced diet for their families. Lafayette County Health Department has been given permission to be a subcontractor with Rodgers Lafayette to do outreach WIC services in Lafayette County.  Demand for the WIC program has been increasing over the years, and the partnership will help accommodate that growth.

WIC will be offered at the following locations:

The WIC program provides healthy food and nutrition to women and their children. Benefits of the WIC program include:

Mothers may qualify for WIC services if they are pregnant, breastfeeding or have an infant younger than 12 months of age, or a child or children under the age of 5. There is no cost for the service. To be eligible, families must meet income guidelines and be in need of nutritional education.
