These are the dates Lafayette County Health Department will offer classes. Classes are held at the Health Department, 547 S 13 Hwy in Lexington. The basic class is approximately 1 1/2 hours. Managers training continues for approximately 15 minutes after food handler training. Classes may also be scheduled on-location for new businesses and in special circumstances. For convenience, classes may be scheduled in Concordia or Odessa if 10 or more students can register and pre-pay. The cost for all classes is $15 per student.

Please call 1-660-259-4371 x221 at least 24 hours in advance to pre-register. Provide name, drivers license #, and workplace for each applicant to pre-register. If you are registering a group of people fax a list with the required information to 660-259-6250. Failure to properly pre-register will result in a delay in the issuance of the foodhandler's card.

Current foodhandler cards from other health jurisdictions may be accepted. Current manager training certification such as ServSafe and Certified Food Safety Professional will be accepted, however, managers must be familiar withthe Missouri Food Code requirements.
