The Lafayette County Health Department is the local registrar for all births and deaths that occur in Lafayette County. Certified copies of birth certificates can be obtained for a person born in the state of Missouri in or after 1920, or who died in the state of Missouri in or after 1980, can be obtained at the Lafayette County Health Department.
A fee of $15 per copy is requested for a certified birth certificate. The fee for the first copy of a certified death certificate is $14, and $11 for each additional copy of the same death certificate. The fee must be paid with either cash, debit, credit, or money order. Personal checks are not accepted.
Birth and death certificates are available 8:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.
